The following will help give you an idea of who I am and what the goals are for myself as a teacher and what the student can expect.

Background: I have been playing music since age 8. I started playing drums at the age of 12 and have now been playing for 25 years. My background includes 5 years of instruction from Mike Ambroszewski who was a student of Berklee College of Music. I taught drums for a few years independently in my early twenties. I have played in many bands over the years and am currently playing with the band Pondering Judd. The band has had a lot of success, recently touring the U.S. with the Saw Doctors, playing to 1000-3000 people a night. I have recorded two records with the band and we are currently working on a new release.

Mission: My goal as a teacher is to ensure that every student gets going in the right direction from day one. All too frequently, not enough attention is paid to technique & theory. I will always make this the number one priority to instill good habits in my students to keep them on the path to success.

Lessons: What will the student learn? I specialize in drumset, rudiments, theory & tuning. I will always encourage the student to practice often and focus on the lesson at hand for that given time frame. Each lesson will include evaluation of the current assignment and the start of the next assignment, working on both, with attention that needs to be given to proper technique. How often should the student practice? At a minimum the student should practice their weekly assignment 20-30 minutes a day. The more you practice the better you will get. To this day I still practice 1-2 hours everyday. No matter the level you can always get better. Practice makes perfect.

Location: I teach at my studio, located in Dover. I will also travel to the students home if needed.

Pricing: $20 per ½ hour. Lessons are recommended ½ hour per week minimum.
