Mercury Hat Line Up Changes
Posted: Thursday, March 20, 2008

By: Eric Ott

As some of you know, Steve Wilt will no longer be playing with Mercuryhat. Steve has decided to go off on his own, recording his own material and work on his studio skills. Steve was a big part of our sound and we will surely miss him. Christian Berling has also taken an extended leave from the band due to a recent promotion with his place of work ... He was by far one of the finest drummers I had the pleasure working with. I look forward to working with him in the future whatever that may bring.

... My good friend Steve Jacques, who was in my first band 'Catbingo' back in the early '90s and Mark Edgerly (both playing in Pondering Judd) have graciously donated their time into practicing and playing some gigs with us. ... Also, Tom Ferry of the 'Molenes' will be our new keyboard player/whatever he wants to play that night. ... Last but NOT least, we have Jeff Seigel on guitar and vocals. Jeff is an amazing singer and guitar player and will add a whole new dimension to Mercuryhat." And keep your ears out, Mhat has two CDS on the way in 2008.

Steve and Mark will also continue there work with Pondering Judd.

Thanks for checking in!

Fan Testimonials for PJudd Latest - Coalesce

"This is some great work. Production quality rocks too. I am particularly fond of Devil’s Son and Lake Shore Drive, but there are a lot of strong tunes on this. Modern? Bah! You are a timeless man. As Kerouac said, “You know time, man!”'
-Doug Green, new fan

"The party at HorseFeathers was rocking. It was the first time my sister had seen you guys play live.....let's just say you have a new fan! Really like the CD too! You guys rock! "
-Paula Wedgeworth on the North Country CD Release Party

“I can't remember the last time I actually turned UP my radio. Hearing your song was like seeing an oasis in the desert.” –Robert Kearns, No. Berwick, ME on hearing “Loving You, Impaired” (track two on “Coalesce”) on WHEB 100.3 FM’s Local Licks Tuesday night.

“I slid it into the deck on the ride in this morning and from start to finish it is amazing. 'Coalesce' is really a complete piece of art. PJUDD have outdone themselves with this work - it is easily my favorite PJUDD record. In my tenure on the music scene, I have never heard anything of this musical quality. The songwriting is absolutely beautiful - 'Lakeshore Drive' brought tears to my eyes. Good things are going to come from this - the Seacoast can't keep (PJudd) to ourselves anymore…the music is just too good.” -Marc Cartier, Dover, NH after hearing Coalesce for the first time on his ride into work
